This campaign transformed 90-year-old Pentagon Federal, perceived as stodgy and exclusively serving military members, into a fresh and friendly brand and announced membership was available to everyone. The messaging and jingle connected—resulting in a tremendous increase in memberships and becoming the nation’s third largest credit union in the U.S.

This campaign went with a big and bold direction—simple messages at in-your-face sizes. The concept was to brazenly take over spaces like the sides of buildings, sports arenas, airport terminals, transit stations, subway cars, and city buses. The bigger, the better.

This multimedia campaign throws out a message that hits home: Taking Metro to Nationals games is easier, faster, and costs less than driving.

To increase bus ridership, this messaging reminds commuters about the positive environmental impact they make when they choose to ride Metrobus instead of driving or using ride-share services. The ads direct viewers to a website providing facts and figures about mass transit sustainability.

Using clever acronyms, this campaign shows a variety of audiences that they are in expert hands when engaging with a certified CFP financial planner. The campaign also brands their CFP members as the “gold standard”.
For social media, financial tips are provided in a wide variety of topics. Some videos are live action and others are explanatory animations. All are linked to related articles on the CFP site for engagement and positive branding.
